Research Interests: 

Cellular regulation of skeletal muscle growth and adipose tissue deposition; antemortem physiology and postmortem biochemistry affecting fresh meat quality.

Instructional Activities:

Animal products, meat science and muscle biology, and growth biology.

Outreach Focus:

Work with livestock producers, meat processors and youth to improve animal product quality.
